Overall Vision Originality Technique ImpactI really like the subtle colors of the beak and around the eye, also the glimmer of the dark eyes, it's great that you can see so much detail and movement at the same time, with the water splashing like that: The delicate shape of the beak, the muscles moving under the white feathers over the face. The bird is also nicely contrasted with the background, though if the leafs directly behind the pelican were blurrier it would be good, too. The space around is nice, and you can see the bird perfectly centered. I really wish the photograph was larger so I could see the subject closer and appreciate all the details, it feels as though it would create a greater impact that way.
