Hello everyone! It's been a while again sinc eI've made an update here and a lot of things have happened since then. As some of you know I went ot Bali for a week at the beginning of Jumne. I didn't have high expectations as it was a place I was never interested in visiting. But my cousin Steph was having her 30th over there so I went. Let me tell you it was beautiful and not what I had expected. My cousin Paul that I had travelled with was telling me horror stories so I got scared but it was fine. We stayed in an area just a little bit away from Kuta which is the touristy party spot which I have no interest in and we stayed at a beautiful resort and hung out by the pool sipping cocktails. Funny thing as well is we found out that Steph's friends were staying at the same resort as us so we made more friends
The people are all very friendly and helpful as well and we ended up booking a full day tour to visit the volcano and having stop offs at local villages along the way and back again. Took a few photos which I still haven't edited but will get to one day
So much fun was had, plenty to visit but not enough time so one day I will have to go back
So back from Bali and a few days later back to the airport again and off to Sydmey for Supanova. I went when I heard Stan Lee was going to be there, I thought it was my once in a lifetime opportunity to meet and get a photo and auto. But also attending was John Barrowman, Nikolaj Coster Waldau and Ming Na Wen so bye bye went the money. As usual though the even was a little poorly organised in terms of volunteers jerking people around, I spent all 3 days in lines so didn't really get to see too much however the venue was so packed you coudln't more anyway. I went with a friend and it was still fun. We spent an extra 2 days for exploring and visited the Chinese Gardens and wwent to have pancakes for breakfast. The weather was beautiful and perfect the more I go to Sydney the less bad it seems. Expensive but enjoyable
So back home again and a few days later it's my birthday. We went out for high tea as I love it but you know it is so expensive it's ridiculous so we went to one a fair bit away from the city and it was lovely. Good food and tea so I was happy
Thank you to everyone here who gave me birthday wishes and some gifts it means a lot
I got 2 nice gifts:
Yesterday I attended my grandmothers funeral. This was from my fathers side of the family who I don't see often. The last time I saw them was 12 years ago. It's a long and complicated story as to why we never saw eachother often but I found out a lot of things yesterday that I was wrong about. In a nutshell I thought my grandparents had abandoned and gave up on me as a child so I was hurt and upset and didn't bother contacting them, as it turns out they both spoke of me fondly and often to anyone who would listen. Last year when I was overseas my grandfather had passed away so it has only been 13 months. Why I once again believed and listened to my mother and didn't go find out for myself I will never know but it's all too late now. All I can do is move forward and try to now stay in touch with the family. I met a lot of family I never even knew I had.
So people, don't be so stubborn and keep in touch with your loved ones frequently because one day they will just be gone

Thanks to those who have donated points to me Do you work at the zoo and/or with animals?
No, I don't work at the zoo or with animals. I just happen to live very close to the zoo so go there a fair bit.
I work in a call centre, very boring T_T Although currently now I am at the head office for the company I work for so all is good right now How did you get to pet all those animals?
When I go on holidays, some zoos offer programs where you can do these things but it costs money. With the big cats, a few hundred dollars. The photos with the koala, snake and baby gator for example, were $15 or so at Australia Zoo, they just take your photo Can I use your artwork in one of my creations?
Please ask first! Don't assume I will just say yes. I am less inclined to do so or will get annoyed if you just say you are taking my work for your purposes.
I don't bite, depending what it is, I will more than likely allow it and maybe even flattered that you would like to use my work for a ref If you agree to me using your work, what do you ask for in return?
All I ask for is some credit and recognition, so link back where you got it from and of course a link to your finished product as I would love to see your work If I have created a drawing/painting etc referenced off of your work, can I sell it?
This is a good question I got asked. I figure if it is something like pencil work, watercolour, oil painting, charcoal etc, then it is your work. I wouldn't have a problem with you selling it as a print or the original as you put the effort into it, I just gave some help
If it's a banner or poster where you have just put my work onto it, then no, I wouldn't like that very much.Do you have any tips for taking photos?
Yes I've written an article for beginners on how to do zoo photography. You can see the article here --> www.bubblews.com/news/32917-zo… ****Great artists I have met**** ****More great artists that you should check out****
