Well here I am again makinga new journal. I've been a little busy but I guess I could have made a journal sooner, but oh well doing one now
I've been busy making prints for an art show that will be coming up in April. I had to get them done now as they are going to Perth, in fact they are probably now already there. They are limited editions too so they had to be signed and numbered, I got them printed with black borders as I didn't want to sign on the print but ended up doing that anyway since they got stuffed up, so I had different sized borders on them even though I made them all 2cm, didn't have time to fix it either which is so unfortunate. Perhaps future prints I'll skip the borders, I don't know I will have to wait and see if they sell in the next few months
Also this year hasn't been the best start, I've been to the doctors so many times, I'll be going back again next week too. I've had 2 infections and now I have injured my lower back. I was walking and bam sharp pain, I don't know what the hell happened but I feel like an old lady and I haven't even hit 30 yet. This is what happens when you make senior status on DA folks
Anyway it's on the mend, it's been 3 days but I'm so impatient I want it all gone now!
DA stuffs, I had a good one last year with getting a senior status and a DD. I thought this would perhaps motivate me to be a little more active here again, do more for the community but it hasn't. DA hasn't been the same for many years now in terms of exposure. I'm really not getting much out of it. Initially when I joined it was to get more exposure and recognition on my work, I thought if I got a nice little following I might be successful and sell a lot. Clearly though it doesn't work like that which is why I haven't put a lot of effort into it and have been organising prints to sell off the internet. That and people have stopped looking at my work here now. This might sound ungrateful but I just took a look I have 5715 watchers as of now (yes I realise a lot will be inactive) and the last few photos that I've posted have struggled to even make 200 faves. If I get 1000 views then I'm lucky. Some of you might be thinking "bitch if I get 20 faves on my work then I'm happy" and I know, I get that it's just the watch to view ratio. It's hard as well because there are a small group of you that still enjoy seeing my work so I don't want to stop as I love making others happy. Nyah such a dilemma
Well anyway I've put together a special feature today, one I haven't done in such a long time. Featured are the last 30 artworks from people who have used my photos for their reference. A majority of them have less than 20 faves which is a crime in the art world so I think you should all check them out and give them a little love

Art from my photos. Thank you for choosing my work
Thanks to those who have donated points to me Do you work at the zoo and/or with animals?
No, I don't work at the zoo or with animals. I just happen to live very close to the zoo so go there a fair bit.
I work in a call centre, very boring T_T Although currently now I am at the head office for the company I work for so all is good right now How did you get to pet all those animals?
When I go on holidays, some zoos offer programs where you can do these things but it costs money. With the big cats, a few hundred dollars. The photos with the koala, snake and baby gator for example, were $15 or so at Australia Zoo, they just take your photo Can I use your artwork in one of my creations?
Please ask first! Don't assume I will just say yes. I am less inclined to do so or will get annoyed if you just say you are taking my work for your purposes.
I don't bite, depending what it is, I will more than likely allow it and maybe even flattered that you would like to use my work for a ref If you agree to me using your work, what do you ask for in return?
All I ask for is some credit and recognition, so link back where you got it from and of course a link to your finished product as I would love to see your work If I have created a drawing/painting etc referenced off of your work, can I sell it?
This is a good question I got asked. I figure if it is something like pencil work, watercolour, oil painting, charcoal etc, then it is your work. I wouldn't have a problem with you selling it as a print or the original as you put the effort into it, I just gave some help
If it's a banner or poster where you have just put my work onto it, then no, I wouldn't like that very much.Do you have any tips for taking photos?
Yes I've written an article for beginners on how to do zoo photography. You can see the article here --> www.bubblews.com/news/32917-zo…
