Well, zoos at times have to put restrictions on having cubs because when they are captive raised, there aren't always enough homes for these big cats. And not enough humans can take care of them effectively. But if they weren't taken out of the wild, tigers could take care of themselves just fine.
Well, compared to a leopard, it takes young tigers awhile to learn how to hunt on their own effectively. Leopards learn quickly. Course all young predators have their challenges in learning to hunt and care for themselves.
