Description

This is one of the tiger cubs. After a few months they have gotten much bigger but still pose nicely for me. They are still not 1yo yet, next month and they will be :)

Pic taken at Melbourne Zoo. Print available here --> [link]

I have to say Dani, this is easily one of the best tiger photos i've seen in a long time. The composition is really unique, and it's a great take on the 'rule of thirds'. What really brings this to life is the amazing depth of field you've managed to create. The focus is perfectly positioned on the head, with great bokeh in the background, which really brings the tiger to life. This is further enhanced by the amazing colours you've managed to capure.

The thing I like most about this is how wild it looks. Despite the original setting, the way you've structured the shot and the natural angle of the animal shows a side to the behavior of these animals that's not usually photographed in such close proximity. It really is a stunning capture

I really struggled to find something I could critique on this piece. Even now all I can find is the slight glare on some of the lower logs. Was this taken through glass?
To me it really does seem a perfect shot
